Plant Medicine Has Deep Roots
Long before WEED became a political issue, it was a spiritual one. Ancient cultures across Africa, Asia, the Americas, and the Caribbean used plant medicine in sacred ceremonies, healing rituals, and communal gatherings. The plant wasn't separate from the spiritual life — it was part of it.
When colonization and prohibition criminalized WEED, they didn't just outlaw a plant. They severed communities from ancient practices. They stigmatized people for traditions that were older than the laws being used against them.
We're still in the process of healing from that. And fashion is part of how we heal.
The Head Wrap as Resistance
Take the head wrap. For centuries, Black and Brown women have worn head wraps as a symbol of dignity, resistance, and cultural pride — even when laws tried to shame them for it. Today, wearing a head wrap is a reclamation. It says: my body, my culture, my crown.
